    The deceased have been identified as Shreya Yadav of Ambedkar Nagar in Uttar Pradesh, Tanya Soni from Telangana, and Navin Dalwin from Ernakulam in Kerala. All three were aged between 25 and 30.

    UPSC aspirants held a night-long protest, demanding immediate action from the authorities following the incident at the coaching institute.

    On Sunday, the Delhi Police said that the facility's owner and coordinator have been arrested for allegedly violating regulations by using the basem*nt as a library.

    According to Delhi Fire Service chief Atul Garg, the building had been granted a no-objection certificate (NOC) on the condition that the basem*nt would be used solely as a storeroom. "The management of the coaching institute was using the same room as a classroom or library, which is a violation of the NOC," Garg said.

    Delhi revenue minister Atishi has ordered an inquiry into the incident even as the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders have accused the Aam Aadmi Party government of negligence for not addressing drainage issues in the capital.

Upon arrival, they found the basem*nt full of water. Efforts to pump out the water were initially hampered as rainwater continued to flow into the basem*nt. Once the road water receded, they managed to reduce the water level from 12 feet to 8 feet and retrieved the bodies of the students. The rescue operation has since been completed. An inquiry will be conducted to determine how the water entered the basem*nt and why a class was being held there.
