DO NOT DO IT! YOU WILL BE OUT THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS! I enrolled back in 2019 in their Masters of Nurse Education program. They call this a Flex Path program and when the pandemic hit, I needed to drop the course and work in the hospitals. I did make this known to the staff that I could not continue in this course. We spoke in nauseum to their academic team about how I needed to pause my courses and complete at a later date because I could not complete while working. I thought this was resolved and now I just got a letter from collections for $2,555 for the courses I NEVER completed.
I spoke to this man in the finance department who basically said, "sucks to be you" and told me I have no choice and have to pay for the courses (even though I did NOT complete them). I understand paying for a course that I started and dropped, but they are making me pay for the entire semester!! Real colleges DO NOT do this and that is how you know this is a scam and should not hold the title of University. They don't care about you, your work or your life outside their money hungry, scam of a system.

I typically don't write reviews. However, after reading all the negative reviews, I felt compelled to write about my experience. I don't know if the undergraduate and graduate programs differ from the doctoral ones. Still, I started in October 2023 working on my Doctorate in Human Services with a concentration in organizational management and have had a great experience. The professors are very supportive and respond to concerns within 24 hours. The coursework is challenging and requires extensive reading, but I have no complaints about the professors or the school. My advice to current and future learners is to read the Capella Policy and abide by the plagiarism and late policy. Reference and cite ALL of your work and you'll be successful.

Just as the last comment stated. I was 2 weeks from graduating. The school emailed me saying that someone else was submitting my work. This isn't possible as I always wrote my papers in the ICU when I had downtime. I submitted emails, and texts from my teachers. I submitted letters from colleagues who witnessed my endless nights of writing papers. The school expelled me and took my money. They failed me in every course and said that I provided no proof. I submitted all that I had and showed actual proof of the legitimacy of my papers. None were plagiarized either. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND TIME!! AVOID THIS SCHOOL!

Did you make a complaint with whatever company they have accreditation under? How high did you go up with your issue?

Do not go here. I was recently dismissed from the university due to a "policy" violation. Was shown no actual proof, I went to this school simply for the convenience of it being fully online, and was about to spend the next 2 months abroad. I am assuming my location red flagged their system which caused a violation again I can't be 100% sure because I was not given full transparency, just told I violated their policy. When I tried to appeal, I provided photos of my itinerary, as well as passport to support the dates of the specific classes that they read flagged saying were in violation, which was basically pointless, because they didn't even want to hear what I had to say, they told me that the decision stands again still with no proof on violation. I've read other reviews after this happened to me and saw a few people bad this happen to them as well through this school. So don't waste your time.

I am attempting to complete my BSN online, and figured the flex path solution they offer would be helpful. As I am working through my courses, I have discovered that no one actually cares enough to help with anything, they just want your money. You will turn something in, it may not be exactly what the professor states, but they do not tell you exactly what to do in order to fix it. Whenever you have any questions or anything about courses you have to way at least 2-3 days for a response. I could go on and on about all of the things I dislike about this college. I wish I would've enrolled somewhere else because this is just frustrating and the worse experience I could've had.

If you're thinking of going to the school do not. I have not gotten my financial aid refund. Because I'm not getting one I live on a fixed income. I'm on disability and they know this. So they put me in 2 classes and are charging lots. And I have no way to pay for it. Let alone I depend on the financial aid refund to help me out. Their prices are ridiculous. You cannot get ahold of anybody. I am dropping a class and then I'm switching schools in March. If you're thinking of going to the school do not do it.

I am reading these reviews and noticed that the bulk of the reviews are based on professor experience or financial aid. I would like to speak to the doctoral program and the rigor of the degree. Capella University is a great program and challenges scholars to employ divergent thinking. The professors are great and invest time in making sure that you understand the principles and expectations of each class. Yes, some classes are more difficult than others. However, that is the challenge that makes the DBA program respected. I would highly recommend Capella University if you are up for the challenge and want to actually learn something. Go into the program with an open mindset and you will be successful. #Capellaproud #CapellaUniversitygraduate

First of all, Doctoral programs require serious dedication. It does not matter where you attend, it's the same requirement levels. There is no handholding. Learners are responsible for their outcomes. Sure can situations be challenging, yes; but the desired result has accountability from the learner and the university. The majority of great experiences from the university are not posted as reviews. Use your resources on social media groups and get real feedback or experiences from graduates. As a Capella Alumnae, I can say the program was worth the sacrificed time and money. I highly recommend the FlexPath program for your educational needs!

This has to be the worse school ever, Professor takes weeks before grading your paper. When they do they find irrelevant mistakes to make you re-do your assignments eventually leaving you in the class longer than what is expected. Some people told me they finished my class in a week. I’m in these classes half of the semester and then I should pay them. They're out their ** mind. You cannot report them the way normal school operates. These Professors are just collecting a check. There making easy money barely doing the bare minimum.
They keep you in the class because you can only take two classes at a time. My job will only pay if I pass these classes and I cannot even get through the first two sections because one Professor only grades one assignment on Sundays even after the 48 hours past. The other finds reasons to reject your paper primary example I told Professor Julie ** I did not highlight my whole paper because I started over completely from scratch causing me to lose my last submission. She did NOT even read my paper. Losing my last submissions with such low grades because she grade harder than in person for simple things like verbs, articles in the wrong place. Worst professor ever.

It was confusion in the beginning on their part. That was a red flag. Do not attend. The cost of the MSW program is very expensive and the advising team, and instructors don't care if you fail or pass. The last instructor I had was a clear example of bad teaching.
